Inca Religion
Incas believed in many gods for different things. They believed in Apu or Apo a mountain god. They believed in a lightning god named Apocctequil. They also believed in a god of health, weal being, wealth and happiness. The Incas had sacred things to them such as places, objects and elements of nature. Some of those things include rivers, mountains, temples and stones. One of the places were Vilconota it's a sacred river, it"s a part of the urubamba river. A sacred object to them was a stone called Intihuatona, it's important Inca treasure. Treasure hunters are still looking for it today. The Inca worshiped Inti a.k.a Apu Punchau he was the Incas sun god. He was an ancestor of the Incas. He was worshiped throughout the Inca empire. Divination is the practice of attempting to foretell the future. Chosen women were chosen to be sacrificed, learn trades, cooking, spinning or brewing. The prettiest girls were the ones that got sacrificed to please the gods.
